Phenylpiracetam hydrazide, also known asfonturacetam hydrazide,[1] is aracetam that is aderivative ofphenylpiracetam in which theamide group is replaced with ahydrazide group.[2] It was first reported by a Russian research group in 1980 as part of a series of chemical compounds investigated asanticonvulsants.[2][3] In an electroshock test it was found to have anED50 of 310 mg/kg.[3]

Sale on the internet

[edit]

Allpiracetamderivatives are not permitted to be sold asdietary supplements in theUnited States.[4] However, because they lack scheduling, piracetam derivatives like phenylpiracetam hydrazide are sold over the clear net accompanied by indications stating that the compound is "not for human consumption".[2][5] Some report no effects, while others report a milder effect compared tophenylpiracetam.[2] Doses are 50 to 100 mg and above.[2]
