Phenylcyclopropylamine

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tranylcypromine, the simplest phenylcyclopropylamine.

Phenylcyclopropylamines, or2-phenylcyclopropylamines, also known asphenylcypromines, arephenethylamine andamphetaminederivatives in which thealkylside chain has beencyclized into acyclopropylring.[1][2] Examples include themonoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI)antidepressanttranylcypromine (trans-2-phenylcyclopropylamine) and thesyntheticpsychedelicsDMCPA (2,5-dimethoxy-4-methylphenylcyclopropylamine) and3,4,5-trimethoxytranylcypromine (TMT; MCPA), among various others.[1][2][3][4] Other phenylcyclopropylamines includebomedemstat, iadademstat, andvafidemstat.
