Petersen Building is a historic two-story building at 7001 W.Hollywood Boulevard inHollywood, California.[1][2]
Petersen Building, built in 1929, was designed by the architectural firmMeyer & Holler,[1] the same firm responsible for many ofHollywood's most notable landmarks, includingHollywood First National and theChinese andEgyptian theatres.[3] This building was originally aCadillacdealership.[1]
In 1984, theHollywood Boulevard Commercial and Entertainment District was added to theNational Register of Historic Places, with 7001 Hollywood Blvd. listed as acontributing property in the district.[1]
Peterson Building isArt Deco in style and featuresarched windows, a flat roof, and decodetailing incised in the roof lineconcretefacade. TheUnited States Department of the Interior describes the building as "a good example of an automobile showroom in an upscale retail setting."[1]
