Peter A. Ing (born April 28, 1969) is a Canadian former professionalice hockeygoaltender. He played 74 games in theNational Hockey League with theToronto Maple Leafs,Edmonton Oilers, andDetroit Red Wings between 1989 and 1993.
Ing was born inToronto, Ontario of mixed ancestry. His father wasChinese and mother was Jewish. As a youth, Ing played in the 1982Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with aminor ice hockey team fromBarrie.[1]
Ing was selected in the third round, 48th overall, by theToronto Maple Leafs in the1988 NHL Entry Draft, and joined Toronto in 1989. He briefly played for theEdmonton Oilers and theDetroit Red Wings. His later career was spent in theInternational Hockey League and theAmerican Hockey League.[citation needed]
Ing retired from hockey and worked at a casino inLas Vegas, Nevada and later as director of slot marketing atCasino Niagara.[2]
