Bishop of Crediton

Peter Everard ColemanAKC (28 August 1928[1]–27 December 2001) wasBishop of Crediton from 1984 to 1996.

Coleman was educated at theHaileybury and Imperial Service College andKing's College London before becoming itschaplain until 1966.[2] He married Princess Elisabeth-Donata Reuss of Köstritz (Donata; 8 June 1932 - 24 April 2022) in 1960. They had two sons and two daughters.[1] Following this he wasvicar of St Paul'sClifton, thenDirector of Ordinands in theDiocese of Bristol and finally (before his ordination to theepiscopate)Archdeacon of Worcester.[3] In retirement he ministered in theDiocese of Bath and Wells as anassistant bishop until his death.
