Pedro Miguel Gaspar Amaral (born 25 August 1997) is a Portuguese professionalfootballer who plays as aleft-back forPrimeira Liga clubEstoril .
Born inSintra ,Lisbon District , Amaral joinedBenfica 's youth system at the age of 10. He made his professional debut for thereserve team on 11 September 2016, as a 60th-minutesubstitute in a 2–1 home win againstAcadémico de Viseu in theLigaPro where he featured as aright-back .[ 2] [ 3]
Amaral scored his only goal in the second division on 8 August 2017, but in a 2–1 away loss toOliveirense .[ 4] Super League Greece clubPanetolikos on a six-month loan deal with an option for an additional year.[ 5] [ 6]
On 4 July 2019, Amaral joinedRio Ave on a five-year contract.[ 7] [ 8] Primeira Liga bow took place on 25 October, in a goalless draw atPaços de Ferreira .[ 9]
Amaral contributed 28 appearances in the2021–22 season , as his team returned from theLiga Portugal 2 as champions.[ 10] Porto .[ 11]
On 19 January 2023, Amaral agreed to a five-month deal atAl-Khaleej .[ 12] [ 13] Saudi Pro League on 22 May, opening an eventual 4–1 away defeat ofAl Wehda .[ 14]
Amaral returned to the Greek top tier in September 2023, on a one-year contract atLamia .[ 15] PAS Giannina in the domestic league.[ 16]
On 9 July 2024, Amaral joinedEstoril on a two-year deal.[ 17]
International career [ edit ] Amaral won his firstcap for thePortugal under-21 side on 5 September 2017, in a 2–0 home win againstWales in the2019 UEFA European Championship qualifiers where he was alsobooked .[ 18]
