Pavlovaceae is afamily ofhaptophytes. It is the only family in the orderPavlovales, which is the only order in the classPavlovophyceae.[1] It contains four genera,Diacronema,Exanthemachrysis,Pavlova andRebecca.[2]
Pavlovophyceae haptophytes also reportedly store photosynthetic carbon inparamylon polysaccharide granules (with a crystalline microfibrillar structure),[3] unlike thechrysolaminarin used as the polysaccharide storage form by most haptophytes.[4][5]
