Paul Williams (born March 5, 1961) is an American formerbasketball player. Born inPhoenix, Arizona, he played atSt. Mary's High School and led the school to its first boys basketball state championship during his final season.[1] Williams played collegiately for theArizona State Sun Devils, where he led the team in scoring and rebounding during his junior season in 1981–82.[2] He was nominated to theAll-Pac-10 team during his senior season.[3]

Williams was selected by his hometownPhoenix Suns as the 45th pick of the1983 NBA draft but never played in theNational Basketball Association (NBA). He played the 1985–86 season for theDetroit Spirits of theContinental Basketball Association (CBA), averaging 14.1 points in 24 games.[4]
