Paul Lazar is an American actor and theatre director. He co-founded Brooklyn'sBig Dance Theater with his wifeAnnie-B Parson and Molly Hickok.[1] Lazar is also known for appearing inThe Silence of the Lambs (1991) and collaborating withBong Joon-ho onThe Host (2006) andSnowpiercer (2013).
Lazar began activity in the theater in New York during the 1980s as a member of theIrondale Ensemble Project. He met his future wife Annie-B Parson around 1983, and has worked on numerous productions with her since.[2] In 1991, they co-founded the troupeBig Dance Theater in Brooklyn with Molly Hickok. They have also had a son together.[1] As of 2015, he teaches acting atRutgers University.[3]
Lazar has also appeared in several films includingMarried to the Mob (1988),[2]The Silence of the Lambs (1991),[2] and collaborating withBong Joon-ho onThe Host (2006)[2] andSnowpiercer (2013).[4]
