Paul Bartram Dague (May 19, 1898 – December 2, 1974) was aRepublican member of theU.S. House of Representatives fromPennsylvania.
Paul Dague was born inWhitford, Pennsylvania. He took special studies atWest Chester State Teachers College and studiedelectrical engineering atDrexel Institute inPhiladelphia,Pennsylvania. He was a member of theUnited States Marine Corps duringWorld War I serving from 1918 to 1919. He served as assistant superintendent of thePennsylvania Department of Highways from 1925 to 1935. He served as deputy sheriff ofChester County, Pennsylvania, 1936–1943, andsheriff of Chester County from 1944 to 1946.
He was elected in1946 as a Republican to the80th United States Congress and served until his resignation on December 30, 1966. He was not a candidate for reelection to the90th United States Congress in1966. Dague voted in favor of theCivil Rights Acts of 1957,[1]1960,[2] and1964,[3] as well as the24th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and theVoting Rights Act of 1965.[4][5]
