Paul Aussem was born inCologne,Germany in 1616.[2]On 19 Oct 1676, he was appointed during the papacy ofPope Innocent XI asAuxiliary Bishop of Köln andTitular Bishop ofHalmiros.[1][2]On 10 Jan 1677, he wasconsecrated bishop byOpizio Pallavicini,Titular Archbishop ofEphesus.[2] He served as Auxiliary Bishop of Köln until his death on 24 Nov 1679.[1][2]
