Paul Raffi Abrahamian is an American reality television personality and clothing designer, born inTarzana, California.[1] Abrahamian is best known for his appearances in the United States reality television showBig Brother and relatedspin-offs.
From 2016 to 2018, Abrahamian appeared in five consecutive seasons ofBig Brother, three times in the parent series and three times in spin-offs. Abrahamian is the first HouseGuest to have twice reached the final two of the competition without winning.[4]
Abrahamian was first introduced as a new HouseGuest onBig Brother 18 on June 19, 2016.[5][6] Throughout his game play, Abrahamian was nominated for eviction six times. However, on three of those occasions he were removed from the block via thePower of Veto, which he won three times. He also wonHead of Household three times during the season, including the final HoH when he chose to takeNicole Franzel to the finale.[7][8] After 99 days and losing in the final jury vote of 5–4, Abrahamian was crowned the season's runner-up and received a total ofUS$50,000.[9]
On October 18, 2016, it was announced that Abrahamian was set to return to the house in the subscription-streamingspin-offBig Brother: Over the Top, to host a Head of Household competition.[10][11][12] Abrahamian returned to the house on October 21 to host the fourth Head of Household competition of the season.[13][14]
On June 28, 2017, Abrahamian returned to Big Brother inBig Brother 19 as a swap-in contestant on the first day, resulting from a temptation accepted by another HouseGuest.[15] Abrahamian's return to the game was met with both positive and negative reviews from critics.[16][17] Throughout the season Abrahamian was only nominated for eviction once which was immediately canceled via The Pendant of Protection.[18] He was unanimously elected by his fellow HouseGuests to face Cody in the season's 'Battle Back'.[19] During the season he won the title of Head of Household three times and were awarded the Power of Veto five times. He also won the first round of the final Head of Household competition but lost to Josh in the final round.[20][21] After 92 days and losing in the final jury vote of 5–4 once again, Abrahamian was crowned the runner-up and received another prize ofUS$50,000.[22][23]
On February 7, 2018, Abrahamian appeared in the series premiere of the Big Brother spin-offCelebrity Big Brother for a special appearance during the first Head of Household competition.[24][25] On June 27, 2018, Abrahamian appeared in the audience for the premiere episode ofBig Brother 20 as a "nod to the shows past".[26][27] He appeared onOff the Block with Ross and Marissa, aBig Brothertalk andaftershow, on August 24, 2018.[28] Abrahamian appeared in thethirty-third episode ofBig Brother 20 to celebrate the engagement ofNicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo.[29]
On October 25, 2016, Abrahamian appeared on the CBS showThe Bold and the Beautiful.[30] On July 9, 2017, Abrahamian teamed up with formerBig Brother contestant Da'Vonne Rogers in the series premiere of the CBS game showCandy Crush as part of a special premiere event featuring past players ofBig Brother andSurvivor.[31][32]
