Patrik Trhac (born 31 October 1998) is an American tennis player.He has a career-highATP doubles ranking of world No. 82 achieved on 21 October 2024.[1]
Trhac played college tennis atIdaho State before transferring toUtah.[2][3]
Trhac reached his first ITF-level final at the 2023 M15 San Diego, partnering Isaiah Strode. However, the pair lost to Daniel de Jonge and Andrew Rogers.[citation needed]
With fellow AmericanRyan Seggerman, the duo won eight consecutive ITF doubles titles between July and October 2023.[4]
The pair won their firstATP Challenger doubles title at the2023 City of Playford Tennis International, and then won the2023 NSW Open title the following week.[citation needed]
In January 2024, following back-to-back Challenger titles at theSouthern California Open I and II,[5] Trhac and Seggerman received a wildcard for the Masters 1000 atIndian Wells, making their ATP debut.[6] The pair defeated sixth-seededMáximo González andAndrés Molteni in the first round.[citation needed] In the round of 16, they lost 4–6, 6–7(8) to eventual championsWesley Koolhof andNikola Mektić.[7]
After 13 straight victories in ITF circuit and ATP Challenger Tour finals, the pair lost their first final at theUpper Austria Open.[citation needed] They received entry into the2024 Libéma Open, their second ATP-level event. As a result, Trhac reached the top 100 in doubles on 24 June 2024.[8]
With Seggerman, the duo won theCranbrook Tennis Classic, their seventh Challenger-level title. As a result, Trhac rose to a new career-high doubles ranking of world No. 89 on 15 July 2024.[citation needed]
Trhac and Seggerman received a wildcard to theUS Open, making their Grand Slam debut.[citation needed] They lost in the first round toYuki Bhambri andAlbano Olivetti.[9]
PartneringMarcus Willis, Trhac reached his firstATP Tour doubles final at theCroatia Open, losing to fourth seedsRomain Arneodo andManuel Guinard.[10]
Trhac gained his first ATP singles ranking points at the2025 Serve First Open, where he defeated Vladislav Melnic in the first qualifying round, before losing to longtime doubles partnerRyan Seggerman in the qualifying final. Additionally, Trhac and Seggerman won their 10th Challenger doubles title together, defeatingSriram Balaji andRithvik Choudary Bollipalli in the final.
