Patrick Lapeyre (French pronunciation:[patʁiklapɛʁ]) is a French writer, and winner of thePrix Femina, 2010, for his seventh novel,La vie est brève et le désir sans fin.[1][2][3]
Lapeyre was born in 1949 inPantin. He attended theÉcole Normale Supérieure withAlain Finkielkraut andPascal Bruckner before studying literature at theSorbonne. After becoming a teacher, he published his first novel,Le corps inflammable, in 1984. He received thePrix du Livre Inter in 2004 forL'Homme-soeur[2] and thePrix Femina in 2010 forLa vie est brève et le désir sans fin.
