Patricio Ponce de León (August 26, 1915 – February 26, 2010) was a Cubanmycologist. He was a professor atBelen School inHavana and at theUniversity of Havana, and later acurator at theField Museum of Natural History inChicago, Illinois. He wrote amonograph on the worldwide species of the familyGeastraceae, the earthstar fungi. Ponce de León died inMiami, Florida.[1]
