Passanda (Ancient Greek:Πάσσανδα) orPasanda (Πάσανδα) was a town ofancient Caria. It was a member of theDelian League since it appears in tribute records ofAthens between the years 450/49 and 421/0 BCE, paying aphoros of 3000drachmae.[1] For at least part of theHellenistic period, it belonged to the territory ofKaunos. Passanda is also mentioned byStephanus of Byzantium and by theStadiasmus.[1] The latter places it at a distance of thirtystadia fromKaunos.[2]

Its site is located nearGökbel, inOrtaca district,Muğla Province,Turkey.[3][4]
