The tehsil, an administrative unit, was created duringBritish rule inIndia, with its administrative centre located in the city of Pasrur. The tehsil covers a total area of 1,020 km2 (394 sq mi), and its oldest village isSabo Bhadiar, located nearQila Kallar Wala.[3] Village Maanga is also located in Tehsil Pasrur.
