Pasquale Mazzocchi (born 27 July 1995) is an Italian professionalfootballer who plays as awing-back orfull-back forSerie A clubNapoli.
Mazzocchi made hisSerie C debut forPro Piacenza on 31 August 2014, in a game againstGrosseto.[1]
On 9 July 2018, he signed a four-year contract withSerie B clubPerugia.[2]
On 25 January 2022, Mazzocchi joinedSerie A sideSalernitana on loan from league rivalsVenezia with a conditional obligation to buy.[3]
On 5 January 2024, Mazzocchi joined reigning Serie A championsNapoli on a permanent deal,[4][5] signing a three-and-a-half-year contract with the club.[5][6] The transfer reportedly commanded a fee of about €3 million.[6] Two days later, on his debut for thePartenopei, Mazzocchi received a straightred card just four minutes after coming on as a second-half substitute, following aVAR check, in a 3–0league loss away toTorino.[7][8] It was the third-fastest send-off for a debuting player in the history of Serie A, behind onlyRolando Bianchi andFrancesco Cassata.[9]
On 17 September 2022, Mazzocchi received his firstItaly national team callup, as managerRoberto Mancini named him to be part of the squad for theUEFA Nations League games againstEngland andHungary. He made his debut against Hungary in a 2–0 win.[10]
