Parvigrus is an extinctbirdgenus, with the single speciesParvigrus pohli. It is considered afamily, the Parvigruidae. The remains ofParvigrus pohli have been described fromfossils found inVachères inFrance, from rocks from the LowerOligocene. The nameParvigrus is derived from theLatinparvus for small andgrus forcrane, the specific epithet refers to Burkhard Pohl who obtained the specimen for theWyoming Dinosaur Center.Parvigrus pohli was achicken sized relative of the cranes and theLimpkin.[1]
