TheSulawesi giant rat (Paruromys dominator) is a species ofrodent in the familyMuridae.[3] It ismonotypic in thegenusParuromys. The species isendemic toSulawesi inIndonesia, where it inhabits forests at elevations from sea level to the tree line.[1] It isfrugivorous and semiarboreal.[1] While not currently listed as threatened, it is impacted by bothhabitat destruction and subsistence hunting.[1]
