TheParu River is a northerntributary of the lowerAmazon inPará state in north-centralBrazil.
The river flows through theUatuma-Trombetas moist forests ecoregion.[2]Part of the river's basin is in theMaicuru Biological Reserve.[3]
The seventh track of the albumAguas da Amazonia is named after the river.
