Park Mi-Young (Korean pronunciation:[pak̚mi.jʌŋ] or[paŋ.mi.jʌŋ]; born November 17, 1981, inDaegu,Republic of Korea) is aSouth Koreantable tennis player.[1] She was part of the table tennis team that won a bronze medal in the2008 Summer Olympics.[3] Park currently plays for theSamsung Life Insurance Table Tennis team and is ranked 24th in the world as of October 2011.[4] She qualified directly for the2012 Summer Olympics in May 2011.[5] At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she reached the last 16 in the women's individual,[6] and placed fourth with the South Korean women's team.[7]
