Pape Mar Boye (born December 30, 2003) is a Senegalesefootballer who plays forUSL Championship clubPhoenix Rising FC.
Boye began playing youth soccer in Senegal with Galaxy Football Academy.[1] he moved to the United States for his junior year of high school, where he attendedMontverde Academy.[1]
In 2023, Boyé began attendingClemson University, where he played for themen's soccer team.[2] On September 5, 2023, he scored his first collegiate goal in a victory over thePresbyterian Blue Hose.[3] He helped the team win the2023 NCAA title, being named the Most Outstanding Defensive Player of the tournament, as well as to the All-Tournament team.[4][5] He was also named to theAtlantic Coast Conference All-Freshman Team and the All-ACC Third Team.[6]
Following his college career, he declined aGeneration Adidas contract withMajor League Soccer ahead of the2024 MLS SuperDraft and instead chose to sign withPhoenix Rising FC of theUSL Championship on January 9, 2024.[7][8] He made his professional debut on March 9, 2024, in a league match against theBirmingham Legion.[9] He scored his first goal on July 19, 2024, in a 2-0 victory overEl Paso Locomotive FC.[10]
In 2021, Boye played with theSenegal national beach soccer team at the2021 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.[11]
