Paolo Belli (born 21 March 1962, inFormigine) is an Italian singer and television presenter.[1][2]
Singer since 1984, first withLadri di Biciclette and then as a solo artist,[3] Paolo Belli is best known for his co-host, with hisBig Band, of the Italian version of the international reality showStrictly Come Dancing, hosted byMilly Carlucci and aired onRai 1 with the name ofBallando con le Stelle from September 2005. In 2012, Belli hosted from 24 March to 7 April, withRia Antoniou andMilly Carlucci, the race of champions namedBallando con te with past champions of the past editions ofBallando con le Stelle. In 2013, Paolo Belli along withArianna Ciampoli andFabrizio Frizzi, hosted theItalian version ofTelethon aired onRai 1. In 2014 Paolo Belli hosted the new edition, aired onRai 2, ofTelethon withAmadeus,Arianna Ciampoli,Fabrizio Frizzi,Caterina Balivo andCamila Raznovich. The professional couple Carlucci-Belli hosted many street events ofBallando and two editions ofTelethon (in 2002 withWalter Santillo andAntonio Lubrano as co-hosts, in 2007 withAlessia Mancini as co-host) aired byRai 1.
In 2016 he was part of the Italian jury at theEurovision Song Contest.
In 2020 he sangCome gira il mondo in a duet with its authorFranco Simone.
