Panitan, officially theMunicipality of Panitan (Capiznon/Hiligaynon:Banwa sang Panitan;Tagalog:Bayan ng Panitan), is amunicipality in theprovince ofCapiz,Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 42,565 people.[3]
Pronounced asPanit-an, it is 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) fromRoxas City.
Panitan is politically subdivided into 26barangays. [5] Each barangay consists ofpuroks and some havesitios.
