Pamela Hayden (born November 28, 1953) is an American voice actress, known for providing various voices for the animated television showThe Simpsons, such asMilhouse Van Houten,Rod Flanders, andJimbo Jones.[1]

Biography

Hayden provided voices for characters inThe Simpsons includingBart Simpson's best friendMilhouse Van Houten, teenage thugJimbo Jones,Ned Flanders' sonRod,[2]Chief Wiggum’s wife andRalph Wiggum's motherSarah, andLisa Simpson's friendJaney Powell. She also originally voiced the character of Katrina (Shanks) Meltsner and Doris Rathbone,[3] on theFocus on the Familyradio dramaAdventures in Odyssey from 1993 to 2000. She is also the voice actress for Bianca fromSpyro: Year of the Dragon, Douglas McNoggin onLloyd in Space and Sublimity Jill inParty Wagon.

In November 2024, Hayden announced her retirement from voicing characters onThe Simpsons,[4] However,Simpsons creatorMatt Groening and writerCarolyn Omine later revealed that Hayden would make a few more performances than initially announced.[5] Despite no longer working inThe Simpsons, Hayden will continue to do other voice work that is not related toThe Simpsons.
