Paige Parker (born 7 May 1995) is anAustralian rules football andrugby league footballer who plays for theBrisbane Broncos in theNRL Women's Premiership. She previously played forBrisbane and theGold Coast in theAFL Women's competition (AFLW), and theNewcastle Knights in theNRLW.

Early life

Parker was raised inBrisbane's northern suburb ofBracken Ridge to a family ofIndigenous Australian (Quandamooka) descent.[2] She attended St John Fisher College throughout her upbringing and excelled intouch football where she plays for theBrisbane Broncos and represents Australia at theWorld Cup level.[3] She also playedAustralian rules football in her youth and was playing forCoorparoo in theAFL Queensland Women's League when she was drafted byBrisbane with the ninth pick in the2018 AFL Women's draft.[1]

AFLW career

Parker made her debut forBrisbane in the round 1 game againstGreater Western Sydney atMoreton Bay Central Sports Complex on 3 February 2019.[4] Following the2019 season, she joined theGold Coast.[5] After playing 13 games over two seasons, Parker was delisted by the Gold Coast in June 2021.[6]

On 3 December 2021, Parker was recruited by theNewcastle Knights to be a part of their inauguralNRL Women's Premiership squad.[8][9]

In round 5 of the delayed2021 NRL Women's season, Parker made herNRLW debut for the Knights against theGold Coast Titans.[10]

In June 2022, she signed with theBrisbane Broncos for the 2022 season.[11]
