Paarl Royals is a South African professionalTwenty20 franchisecricket team that competes in theSA20 tournament.[1] The team is based inPaarl, and was formed in 2022. The team's home-ground isBoland Park Cricket ground. The team is captained byDavid Miller and is coached byShane Bond.[2][3]
The franchise is owned byManoj Badale.[4]
In August 2022,Cricket South Africa announced the establishment of theSA20, aTwenty20 Cricket competition to be started in 2023. The teams for the competition, representing six cities, includingPaarl, were put up for auction in September 2022. ThePaarl franchise was purchased byManoj Badale.[5]
