TheProfessional Footballers' Association Scotland (PFA Scotland) is theassociation for professionalfootballers inScotland. It was known as theScottish Professional Footballers' Association (SPFA), but that organisation was dissolved and replaced by PFA Scotland in 2007.[2] PFA Scotland is affiliated to the (English)Professional Footballers' Association[2] and the worldwide unionFIFPro.[3] The SPFA used to be affiliated to theGMB union.[4]

As of 2021,Fraser Wishart (chief executive) andTony Higgins (president) were two of the principal officers of the organisation, while former playersCraig Beattie andChris Higgins were among the administrative staff,[5] withStuart Lovell among its former employees.[6][7] Active players who have served as chairman of the committee includeJack Ross,[8][9]John Rankin[10] andLiam Craig.[11][12]

Each year it presents thePlayers' Player of the Year, theYoung Player of the Year, and theManager of the Year awards.[13][14]
