Péricles Raimundo Oliveira Chamusca (born 29 September 1965) is a Brazilianfootballmanager, he is the currently head coach ofSaudi Pro League clubAl-Taawoun.
Chamusca and his brotherMarcelo Chamusca, who is also a coach, were born inSalvador, Bahia,Brazil.
Chamusca coachedJapanese clubOita Trinita since September2005, then brought the firstJ.League Cup title to the club in2008. But on thevery next season, the club suffered a 14th straight defeat in the league due to injuries of regular players. He was fired on July 14, andRanko Popović took his position.[1]
On July 31, 2009 he assigned withSport Recife to coach thePernambucano team. He replacedEmerson Leão.[2] On November 7, 2009, the coach has quitSport Club do Recife in agreement with the club chairman Sílvio Guimarães, the team placed the bottom in the Brasileirão championship standings.[3]
On 29 June 2022, Chamusca was appointed as manager ofAl-Taawoun.[4]
On 29 May 2024, Chamusca was appointed as manager of First Division sideNeom.[5] He guided the club to victory in theSaudi First Division, achieving their first-ever promotion to theSaudi Pro League before departing on 3 July 2025.[6] In the meantime, it was announced that he would return to Al-Taawoun, with his reappointment set for 20 July.[7]
