Oxalate chloride

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Class of chemical compounds

Anoxalate chloride oroxalato chloride is amixed anion compound contains bothoxalate andchlorideanions.

Related compounds includeoxalate fluorides[1] andoxalate bromides.[2]

Production

[edit]

Oxalate chlorides may be produced by treating an oxalate salt with concentrated hydrochloric acid, or with a metal oxide dissolved inoxalic acid andhydrochloric acid solutions that are evaporated.[3]
