Oukaïmeden Observatory (obs. code:J43) is anastronomical observatory located in the commune ofOukaïmden in theAtlas Mountains ofMorocco, where theMorocco Oukaimeden Sky Survey is conducted to observesmall Solar System bodies.[1]
Located in the Atlas Mountains, 2750 meters above sea level, theTRAPPIST-North telescope is a twin telescope of TRAPPIST-South located at theLa Silla Observatory inChile, both operated fromLiège, Belgium, by theSpace Center of theUniversity of Liège.[2][3]
In May 2016, data from the telescopes helped identifyTRAPPIST-1.[4]
