Oryol Governorate (Russian:Орловская губерния,romanized: Orlovskaya guberniya) was an administrative-territorial unit (guberniya) of theRussian Empire and theRussian SFSR, which existed from 1796 to 1928. Its seat was in the city ofOryol.
