TheOrono Dam is a hydroelectric dam on theStillwater River at its confluence with thePenobscot River inOrono,Penobscot County,Maine. As a part of the Penobscot River restoration and the removal of theGreat Works andVeazie dams, the Orono Dam andStillwater Dam will be upgraded to maintain previous levels of power generation.[2][3]
