Oromocto was aprovincial electoral district for theLegislative Assembly of New Brunswick, Canada.
The district was created in1973 from the oldmulti-member district ofSunbury, taking in theTown of Oromocto,CFB Gagetown and immediate surrounding areas. In1994 its boundaries were considerably expanded, taking in larger parts ofSunbury County and parts ofQueens County and it was renamedOromocto-Gagetown (in recognition of the village ofGagetown, not theCanadian Forces Base known asCFB Gagetown). In2006, its boundaries were changed again when it lost all of its territory north of theSaint John River and was returned to the original name of Oromocto.
