Origo gentis Romanae

TheOrigo gentis Romanae ("origin of the Roman people") is a shorthistoriographic literary compilation. It narrates the origins of theRoman people, beginning withSaturn and ending withRomulus. The work was earlier associated withAurelius Victor, but it is no longer believed to be by his hand.

There are twomanuscript copies of theOrigo: MS 9755-63 in theRoyal Library of Belgium in Brussels and MS Canon. Class. Lat. 131 in theBodleian Library in Oxford. Both date to the fifteenth century.[1]
