Omar Metwally is an American actor. He is known for his portrayal of Dr. Vik Ullah in theShowtime drama seriesThe Affair, as well as for the filmsMunich (2005),Rendition (2007), andMiral (2010). He has also appeared in the roles of Dr. Fahim Nasir inNon-Stop (2014), Ernesto Santiago in theUSA drama seriesMr. Robot, Matt Edwards in theBourne spin-off television seriesTreadstone, Mark Lindor in theABC drama seriesBig Sky, and Dr. Michael Hamda in theFOX drama seriesDoc.
Metwally was born inQueens,New York, to anEgyptian father and aDutch mother[citation needed] and moved with the family toOrange County, California, at age three, where he was raised. Metwally earned a BA in history from theUniversity of California, Berkeley,[1] and while acting around theBay Area earned aMaster of Fine Arts in acting from theAmerican Conservatory Theater,San Francisco.[2]
