Omar Daf (born 12 February 1977) is a Senegalesefootballmanager and former player who is currently the head coach ofLigue 2 clubAmiens. ASenegal international withFrench nationality, Daf represented his country at the2002 FIFA World Cup. He played as afull-back, but could also play atcentre-back.
Born inDakar, Daf began playing football withUS Gorée. At age 17, a Belgian football scout, Karel Brokken, recruited him toBelgian Second Division sideK.V.C. Westerlo, where he began his professional career. A year later, Daf joined FrenchChampionnat National 2 sideThonon-Chablais, before embarking on a 12-year spell withSochaux in 1997.[1]
In November 2018, Daf became manager of Sochaux.[2] In January 2019, he extended his contract until 2021.[3]
In June 2023, Daf was appointed as the manager ofLigue 2 clubAmiens.[4]
