Oana-Silvia Țoiu (born 9 July 1985) is a Romanian politician of theSave Romania Union. Since June 2025, she serves asMinister of Foreign Affairs in theIlie Bolojan cabinet.[1] Since 2020, she has also been a member of theChamber of Deputies.[2] In the first session, she was elected chair of the labour committee.[3] In 2021, she was proposed as minister of labor in the rejected cabinet ofDacian Cioloș.[4] In 2024, she was elected as one of the vice presidents of the chamber.[5]
Born inCălărași in 1985, she completed secondary studies at the Constantin Carabella National College inTârgoviște in 2004 and then graduated from the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies of theUniversity of Bucharest in 2009.[6]
From 2016 to 2017, she served as state secretary of theMinistry of Labor and Social Protection.[4] In the2019 European Parliament election, she was a candidate formember of the European Parliament.[7]
Țoiu is anUkrainophile and advocates for stronger Romanian support for Ukraine.[8][9]
