Nyíregyháza (Hungarian:Nyíregyházi járás) is a district in western part ofSzabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County.Nyíregyháza is also the name of the town where the district seat is found. The district is located in theNorthern Great Plain Statistical Region. This district is a part ofNyírség geographical region.
Nyíregyháza District borders withSárospatak District(Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County),Ibrány District andKemecse District to the north,Baktalórántháza District andNagykálló District to the east,Hajdúhadház District(Hajdú-Bihar County) to the south,Hajdúböszörmény District(Hajdú-Bihar County) andTiszavasvári District to the west.
