Northern Samar's 1st congressional district is acongressional district in the province ofNorthern Samar, Philippines. It has been represented in theHouse of Representatives since 1987.[3] The district covers the province's western half which contains its capital,Catarman, the adjacent municipalities ofAllen,Bobon,Lavezares,Lope de Vega,Mondragon,Rosario,San Isidro,San Jose andVictoria, and theSan Bernardino Strait island municipalities ofBiri,Capul,San Antonio andSan Vicente.[4] It is currently represented in the19th Congress by Paul R. Daza of theNational Unity Party (NUP).[5]
