Nordvik is a village area inVestland county,Norway. The village lies on a municipal border, with the bulk of its area located inBergen Municipality, but extending over the border into neighboringBjørnafjorden Municipality. In 2008, the population of the 0.42-square-kilometre (100-acre) Nordvikurban area was 429, of which 383 people live in Bergen and 46 lived in what is now Bjørnafjorden. At that time the urban area had a population density of 1,021 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,640/sq mi).[2] Separate statistics for the village are no longer tracked byStatistics Norway since it is now considered part of theSøvik urban area in Bjørnafjorden rather than a distinct urban area.
