TheNokia N93 is amobile phone fromNokia, part of the multimediaNseries. It was the most advanced camera phone from Nokia at the time of its release, and Nokia's first phone withoptical zoom.
N93 was particularly marketed for itsswivel design like its predecessorNokia N90, which mimics the appearance of a conventionalcamcorder. The N93 improved upon camera capabilities over the N90. The phone has a 3.2-megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom,Carl Zeiss optics and 30 fps 640×480 (VGA)MPEG-4 video recording capability. It was succeeded by theNokia N93i.
The Nokia N93 supports3G (WCDMA 2100 MHz),EDGE andGSM (900/1800/1900 MHz) networks.[1] It also hasPush to Talk over Cellular (PoC),Wi-Fi (802.11b and g),[2] aninfrared port (forIrDA) andBluetooth.

The Nokia N93's 3.2-megapixel camera has Carl Zeiss Vario Tessar optics and flash,[3][1][4] 3x optical zoom / 20x digital zoom,[1] digitalimage stabilization,[1] close up mode, andDVD-like video capture at 30fps in the MPEG-4 format at VGA resolution.[3] It was also advertised for "easy" video creation and burning to DVD withAdobe Premiere Elements 2.0.[3]
Other than the camera, Nokia N93 has a 320×240 pixels; 262,144 colors 2.4" display[4] and direct TV out connectivity.[3] It has a Dual ARM 11 332 MHz CPU, 50 MB memory, 64 MB RAM, and up to 2 GB mini SD card storage (90 minutes of "DVD-like" video).[1] Fully hardware accelerated PowerVR 3D graphics from Imagination Technologies (includingOpenGL ES 1.1 andM3G, according to JBenchmark[5]) is included. However despite Nokia having planned to supportN-Gage 2.0 for N93 (alongsideN73 and N93i), it never made it due to memory issues. Other features are a web browser,[6]Adobe Flash Lite 1.1 preinstalled (supports Flash Lite 2.1 and Flash Lite 3.0 developer editions),Visual Radio,UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) support,[2]Symbian application support,[4]JavaMIDP 2.0.[4]
As well as coming in 2 colors, pearl black and silver, there was also a Nokia N93Golf Edition which had been preloaded withPro Session Golf software to help improve golf skills. There was also aMission: Impossible III edition which included a memory card preloaded with the movie and aMission: Impossible III theme.[7]
The Nokia N93's likeness is used in the video gameTony Hawk's Project 8 as the way for players to view their in-game messages and videos.
