Noble Gordon "Jorgy" Jorgensen (May 18, 1925 – November 2, 1982) was an American professionalbasketball player. He was acenter in theNational Basketball Association (NBA) and other leagues. He was a member of Portland's first professional basketball championship whenPortland Indians won thePacific Coast Professional Basketball League in 1948.[1][2] He retired from professional basketball following the1952–53 NBA season.[3]
He played high school basketball forTaylor Allderdice High School inPittsburgh, Pennsylvania.[4][5]
Jorgensen was the brother of formerNBA playerRoger Jorgensen[6] and Byron Jorgensen who played college basketball for Ohio.[7]
Jorgensen died inMinneapolis in 1982 due to an aortic aneurysm.[8]
