Nityananda Gond is an Indian politician and Minister of School and Mass Education, ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes WelfareGovernment of Odisha. He is aMember of Odisha Legislative Assembly fromUmerkote assembly constituency ofNabarangpur district.[1]
He did his M.A. in history fromBerhampur University in 2000, and LLB fromJeyopre Law College in 2003.[2]
On 12 June 2024, he took oath along with Chief MinisterMohan Charan Majhi took oath in Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar. GovernorRaghubar Das administered their oath. Prime MinisterNarendra Modi, Home MinisterAmit Shah, Defense MinisterRajnath Singh, along with Chief Ministers of 10 BJP-ruled states were present.[3][4][5]
