Nittaki Station (日立木駅,Nittaki-eki) is arailway station in the city ofSōma, Fukushima,Japan, operated byEast Japan Railway Company (JR East).

Lines

Nittaki Station is served by theJōban Line, and is located 301.0 km from the official starting point of the line atNippori in Tokyo. However, due to damage to the line caused by the2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, trains from Nittaki were only able to travel as far asNamie Station. Operations were restored toHaranomachi Station on 21 December 2011, and full services on the line were resumed on 14 March 2020.

The station has a singleside platform and anisland platform connected to the station building by a footbridge. However, at present platform 3 is not in use. The station is unattended.

History

Nittaki Station opened on 15 August 1922. The station was absorbed into the JR East network upon the privatization of theJapanese National Railways (JNR) on April 1, 1987.
