Nimrat Khaira (born 8 August 1992) is an Indian singer, and actress known for her work inPunjabi- language music and films. She started her singing career with song "Rabb Karke" and "SP De Rank Wargi" whereas her acting debut was in 2017 withLahoriye.
Born inBatala, Khaira started singing in third grade. She is the only child of her parents. She completed her schooling from D.A.V.[citation needed]
She is the winner ofVoice of Punjab season 3.[4] She gained fame after the release of her single "Ishq Kacheri".[5] She performed at Saras Mela, held inBathinda.[6][7] She hosted the third edition of Radio Mirchi Music Awards.[8]
She started her singing career from a duet song "Rab Karke" with Nishawn Bhullar, which was released on 24 September 2015 by record label Punjaab Records. The song received good response from audience, but she got much fame through her next two songs "Ishq Kacheri" and "SP De Rank Wargi", both released in 2016. She continued her success with songs like "Salute Wajde" in 2016. In 2017, she launched many hit singles, such as "Rohab Rakhdi", "Dubai Wale Sheikh", "Suit" and "Designer". She also won Best female vocalist award for her duo "Dubai Wale Sheikh" fromManje Bistre at Brit Asia Awards and nominated atFilmare Punjabi Award. The song also peaked onUK Asian chart.[9] Her single "Suit" entered top 20 in the chart.[10]
Her song "Designer" produced byDeep Jandu came in controversy after a foreign composer "Zwirek" claimed the music and the song was removed from YouTube but later, the song was re-added to YouTube after music was proved legally original.[11]

She started her film career in 2017 withLahoriye, wherein she played the role of Kikkar (Amrinder Gill)'s sisterHarleen Kaur. Her performance in film was appreciated by audience. She was also nominated forBest Debut Performance andBest Supporting Actress in different Award Ceremonies.[15]
Her second filmAfsar released on 5 October 2018. Film marks as Debut as lead actress forNimrat Khaira. In film,Nimrat Khaira had shared screen withTarsem Jassar. She had played the role of Harman who is Teacher in Government school.[16] Her filmJodi, which is written and directed byAmberdeep Singh, was released in 2023.[17] In the film, she is co-starringDiljit Dosanjh. It is her second collaboration with Singh and Rhythm Boyz Entertainment afterLahoriye (2017).
She is co-starringAmmy Virk andSargun Mehta in another ambitious project ofAmberdeep Singh,Saunkan Saunkne, which is set to be released in 2021.
She will appear in Sarbala Ji directed by Mandeep Kumar, which is set to be released in July 2025[18] and in Saunkan Saunkanay 2 directed bySmeep Kang.[19]
