Nikolay Asenov Arabov (Bulgarian:Николай Aсенов Арабов; born 14 November 1953) is aBulgarian former professionalfootballer and manager who played as adefender from 1971 to 1994, most notably forSliven.
Arabov was capped 42 times for theBulgaria national football team and represented the nation at the1986 FIFA World Cup.[1]
Arabov made his debut forSliven in 1971 and stayed in the club for 15 years, with 310 games in theA PFG. Capped 42 times for theBulgaria national football team in the period 1976 – 1986,[2] including 3 games at1986 FIFA World Cup inMexico.[3] Arabov has also played forSpartak Pleven,Lokomotiv Plovdiv,Anagennisi Dherynia and AlbanianKF Tirana before returning to Sliven for its last season inA PFG (1993). After his retirement as a player Arabov worked for many years in Albania, coachingKF Tirana,KF Partizani, andKS Flamurtari.
