Nicolas Baert (born 8 August 2001 inBraine-l'Alleud[1]) is aBelgian racing driver currently competing forComtoyou Racing inDeutsche Tourenwagen Masters.
Baert made his single-seater debut in 2019, joiningMP Motorsport to compete in theF4 Spanish Championship.[2] In his only year in single-seater competition, Baert scored a best result of fourth twice on his way to seventh in points.[3][4] During 2019, Baert also represented Belgium in the first edition of theFIA Motorsport Games Formula 4 Cup.[5]
Leaving single-seaters at the end of 2019, Baert joinedComtoyou Racing's three-car lineup to race inTCR Europe for 2020.[6] Baert took his first pole and win atZolder to finish third in the overall points and runner-up in the Benelux series.[7][8] Near the end of 2020, Baert made a wildcard appearance at the Spain round of theWorld Touring Car Cup.[9]
Baert remained withComtoyou Racing for the2021 TCR Europe season.[10] Scoring a lone podium in the first round of the season at theSlovakia Ring, he finished 7th in points in his sophomore season in the series.[11]

Following two races in2021 Intercontinental GT Challenge forSaintéloc Racing,[12][13] Baert returned to the French team for 2022,[14] competing in both theGT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup and theGT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup, driving anAudi R8 LMS Evo II.[15] In the endurance cup, Baert scored a best result of 12th overall atHockenheim and finished fifth in the Silver Cup standings.[16] In the latter, Baert took a best result of sixth atMagny-Cours, which was also his only class win of the season as he finished fifth in the Silver Cup points.[17]
The following year, Baert returned to fellow Audi teamComtoyou Racing ahead of 2023 for another double programme in both GT World Challenge Europe series.[18] Racing in the Gold Cup in Endurance Cup, Baert won in class atMonza andLe Castellet,[19][20] and scored a further class podium at the24 Hours of Spa en route to the Gold Cup title at season's end.[21] In the latter, Baert competed in the Pro Cup and scored one overall podium in race one atHockenheim to finish eighth in points.[22]
In 2024, Baert stayed withComtoyou Racing, as the team switched to theAston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo, for a dual programme in both theGT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup and theGT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup.[23][24] In the former, Baert scored two Silver Cup podiums atMonza andJeddah,[25] while in the latter, Baert took a lone overall podium at the season-finale inBarcelona.[26]
Baert remained withComtoyou Racing for 2025, staying inGT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup and making his debut inDeutsche Tourenwagen Masters.[27][28]
Baert is the son ofComtoyou Racing founder Jean-Michel Baert.[29]
