Nicolai Rapp (born 13 December 1996) is a German professionalfootballer who plays as adefensive midfielder orcentre-back for2. Bundesliga clubKarlsruher SC.[2]
In summer 2017, Rapp signed with2. Bundesliga sideErzgebirge Aue.[3]
In January 2019, Rapp joined league rivalsUnion Berlin having agreed a 3.5-year contract until summer 2022.[4]
On 24 June 2021, it was announced Rapp would joinWerder Bremen for the2021–22 season.[5] The transfer fee paid to Union Berlin was reported as about €200,000.[6] Following Werder Bremen's return to the Bundesliga, he made seven substitute appearances in the2022–23 season.[7]
Having expressed his desire for more playing time, Rapp joined1. FC Kaiserslautern on loan until the end of the2022–23 season in January 2023.[7]
On 23 January 2024, Rapp signed withKarlsruher SC in the2. Bundesliga.[8]
Rapp is a youth international for Germany.[9]
